I want to be a
doctor - either a surgical oncologist or
neurologist. |

My plans on getting there: |
I'm taking my
MCAT's in august and applying to medical
school next year. Until then I'm taking tons
of science classes and getting as much
experience as I can by doing research in a
Biochemistry Lab and volunteering at the
hospital |

My favorite things to do: |
I love playing
the piano, cartooning and going dancing -
especially historical dance with We Make
History, a local re-enactors group. Other than
that I really enjoy judging and coaching at
speech and debate tournaments as well as
photography : I just bought a digital camera
so I'm spending a lot of time learning how to
take great pictures. I also love reading and
writing poetry and short stories. |

My tenacity and
creativity - When I'm motivated to make
something happen I can usually come up with
creative ways to solve the road blocks I
encounter on the way to reaching my goal. |

Advice for girls: |
Don't let
anyone tell you that you can't achieve
something or throw your limitations in your
face. There is always a way to achieve your
goals - even if you have to adjust your
approach or do off-the-wall things just to get
your foot in the door. |
